Mining Monero on GitHub Codespaces - My Experiment and Lessons Learned
Updated: at 08:11 PMI had a wild idea—what if I mined Monero using free cloud services like GitHub Codespaces? After days of tweaking, bypassing restrictions, and even roping in old accounts, I managed to get it running. But reality hit hard. Between auto-shutdowns, account suspensions, and minimal earnings, the whole experiment turned out to be a massive waste of time. Lesson learned, just because something is “free” doesn’t mean it’s worth the effort.

Building an Image-to-Text Converter with Handwritten Text Recognition
Updated: at 09:11 AMThis project is a Flask-based web application that allows users to upload images containing text, which is then converted into digital text. The real challenge lies in enabling the app to accurately recognize handwritten text. To achieve this, I trained a custom model using PyTorch, focusing on a Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network (CRNN) architecture to handle the complexity of handwritten characters.

Mining Dreams, Government Screams - The Great Indian Krypto Struggle
Published: at 08:55 AM“Bro, in India, if you want to start something innovative, first you need to mine through government rules before mining crypto. By the time you figure out the legal stuff, either the law changes, or some babu finds a new way to tax you. It’s like playing a game where the rules keep updating, but your character is still stuck at level 1.”

My Journey into Monero Mining - A Harsh Reality Check
Published: at 01:56 AMAfter struggling to mine Bitcoin on my MacBook Air M1, I stumbled upon Monero (XMR)—a CPU-friendly cryptocurrency using the RandomX algorithm. Excited to give mining another shot, I set up my wallet, installed XMRig, and joined a mining pool. But what started as an experiment quickly turned into a battle against overheating, high CPU usage, and painfully low rewards. After hours of mining, I earned just a few cents—barely enough to cover my laptop’s electricity cost. This adventure proved that mining on a regular laptop isn’t worth it, but the experience? A priceless lesson in crypto mining.
